The Kansas City Power & Light District is excited to announce a new karaoke experience for downtown Kansas City – Hotel Karaoke. Spanning an impressive 8,500 square feet on the second floor of the Kansas City Live! block, Hotel Karaoke joins McFadden’s, PBR Big Sky, County Road Ice House, Mosaic Ultra Lounge, Howl at the Moon and No Other Pub in offering a dynamic and varied entertainment experience for downtown Kansas City and the Midwest as a whole.
Showcase your karaoke skills in an expansive main gathering area, called the Show Room, that is anchored by a grand signature bar. Or reserve one of the eight private karaoke rooms for your group of friends or co-workers. Each karaoke room will be designed with one of the world’s great hotels as inspiration.
Designed by internationally-acclaimed Knauer Incorporated under the direction of Marc Knauer, the new venue will undergo more than $500,000 worth of expansion and renovation work of the former Hotel Night Club space including expanding into previously unfinished space. While the space is undergoing an extensive transformation and reformatting, guests may still recognize a few of the original Hotel’s beloved design elements originally created by Studio Collective, a world-renowned design agency based in Santa Monica, CA, including its American Deco backbar and the structure of the iconic marquee sign on the corner of 13th Street and Grand Blvd.
Hotel Karaoke will open for private parties and special events in December 2018, with an official grand opening celebration first quarter 2019. More details to come.
