DOES THE POWER & LIGHT DISTRICT HAVE GIFT CARDS
Yes - The Kansas City Power & Light District offers a gift card that can be used at all of the restaurants, bars, nightclubs, shops and merchants in the Power & Light District. The only venues that do not accept the Power & Light District Gift Card are: The Midland by AMC Theatre, Chipotle and Whopper Bar. Gift cards may be purchased at The Garment District located at 1350 Main Street. Bulk orders may be purchased by calling (816) 842-1045.

WHAT IS KC LIVE?
Kansas City Live!, also known as KC Live!, is located directly across the street from Sprint Center, in the heart of The Kansas City Power and Light District. The Midwest’s premier dining and entertainment destination, KC Live! features world-class restaurants, taverns and night spots and is open year-round offering a variety of events including concerts, festivals, watch parties and more. 

KC Live! destinations include: Johnny’s Tavern, Pizza Bar, Gordon Biersch Brewery & Restaurant, Z-Strike Lanes, Maker's Mark Bourbon House & Lounge, McFadden's Sports Saloon, Tengo Sed Cantina, The Dubliner, Angels Rock Bar, Mosaic Lounge, Living Room, Howl at the Moon, PBR Big Sky Cowboy Bar, Shark Bar, FUEGO and Flying Saucer. KC Live! features a full-concert stage where the country’s most premiere musicians and bands perform weekly during the summer and for special events throughout the year.

WHAT IS THE LATE NIGHT PASS AT KC LIVE?
A Late Night Pass is in place on weekends at KC Live! After 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays, patrons pay (via credit card only) a $10 fee that includes admission into KC Live! and two tickets valued at $5 each, good towards cover at any participating bar or restaurant in KC Live! Must be 21 or older to obtain KC Live! Late Night Pass. Please note that special events, as well as events held at individual venues within KC Live! may have additional restrictions and charges.

IS KC LIVE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Yes. KC Live has several ramps for easy access from the street and the KC Live parking garage (entrance at 13th St & Grand Blvd). If in the garage, take the elevator located in the southwest corner of the garage up to KC Live. If entering from the street, take the access ramp located adjacent to Gordon Biersch Brewery on Walnut Street, just north of 14th St. Once inside of KC Live, there are two ramps to access the four levels of the KC Live plaza area. The entrance is located on the first tier and the first ramp is in front of Maker's Mark. The slow incline goes from the first tier of KC Live to the second tier. Cross over the second tier to McFadden's to access the second ramp leading up to the third and fourth tiers of the KC Live plaza is in front of McFadden's Sports Saloon. To access the second level of KC Live and the clubs on the second level, there are three elevators: one at the Walnut entrance, one in the back (north end) of KC Live, and one at the Grand entrance (near Z-Strike), in case the other two elevators are not accessible.

WHEELCHAIR SEATING: During concerts, KC Live! reserves wheelchair seating inside of the KC Beer Garden, located on the second tier in front of McFadden's Sports Saloon.

ARE THE EVENTS IN KC LIVE OUTSIDE? ARE THEY RAIN OR SHINE?
Yes. KC Live! is an open-air live music venue, surrounded by restaurants and nightlife establishments. It is covered by a translucent canopy that lets light in but keeps the elements out! It is also equipped with large overhead fans and heaters, benches and seating, fire pits and more. Seating is limited, so arrive early for events to claim the best seats! Lawn chairs are not permitted in KC Live. Extreme weather may result in the postponement or cancellation of an event. Please check the event calendar on this website for details, should such weather occur.

ARE CONCERTS AND OTHER EVENTS IN THE DISTRICT AND KC LIVE FREE?
You've heard it right! The District hosts a variety of events, from family days to concerts, to parties and conventions. There are few events where there is a cover charge, but the majority of all public events held in the KC Live! Block and Kansas City Power & Light District are free. There is no admission to the KC Live Block, however, a Late Night Pass is in place on weekends. After Midnight on Fridays and 11 pm on Saturdays, patrons pay (via credit card only) a $10 fee that includes admission into KC Live and two tickets valued at $5, good towards cover at any participating bar or restaurant in KC Live! Additionally, some events also have an age limit, and are only for guests 21 and older, so be sure to read the details of each event carefully on the event calendar of this website. Please note that events held at individual venues may have different restrictions and charges.

DOES KC LIVE! HAVE A CODE OF CONDUCT?
Yes. Please know the KC Live! outdoor area has a code of conduct: patrons must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid ID for entry; no loitering; no weapons; no panhandling; no solicitation; no disorderly conduct; no bicycles or skateboards; no professional photography cameras; no backpacks. The following is not permitted under the KC Live! dress code: sleeveless shirts on men; profanity on clothing; sweat pants or full sweat suits; bandanas; exposed undergarments on men; excessively long shirts (when standing upright with your arms at your side, the bottom of your shirt cannot extend below the tip of your fingers). Management reserves the right to deny entry or remove any individual who does not comply with the code of conduct. Please note that the dress codes of individual venues may vary. WHAT ARE THE DISTRICT'S HOURS OF OPERATION?
The Kansas City Power & Light District is an active neighborhood 24 hours a day. Most bars and restaurants are open until 3 am. Please refer to an individual tenant's website for their hours of operation.

CAN I VALET MY VEHICLE?
Yes. There are multiple valet locations throughout the District. Even more conveniently, you can drop your vehicle off and pick it up at any of the locations. For more detailed valet instructions, please click below or refer to the Parking+Directions tab on the home page of this website.

WHERE CAN I PARK?
The District and the City have multiple parking garages and surface lots within and surrounding the District. $2 parking is available all day, every day when you dine or shop in the District, in the KC Live! parking garage. Simply have your parking ticket validated before the end of your visit. It’s located in the heart of Downtown, between Grand Boulevard and Baltimore Street, and 12th Street and Truman Road. The District spans eight blocks of new restaurants, entertainment, nightlife and shopping. It is easily accessible from all major highways and attracts millions of visitors each year. The District is about 20 minutes south of the Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and less than 8 minutes south of the Downtown Airport.

DIRECTIONS – 

From the North (Including KCI Airport, Zona Rosa, Northland):

Take Highway I-29S to US169S. Cross Broadway Bridge into Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Take Broadway to 12th Street; Take left onto 12th Street. The Power & Light District is located between Baltimore and Grand Blvd. and 12th Street and Truman Road. Convenient garage parking is located off of 12th Street and Main Street, as well as 12th Street and Walnut Street.

From the South (Johnson County, Oak Park Mall, Overland Park):

Take Highway I-35N into Downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Take the Broadway Exit; Go straight to Walnut Street. Take left onto Walnut Street. Convenient surface lot parking is available off of Walnut Street at Truman Road. Garage parking is located off of 13th and Walnut Streets.

From the East (Including Kauffman and Arrowhead Stadiums, I-70):

Take I-70W into Downtown. Take 13th Street Exit. Convenient garage parking is located off of 13th Street and Grand Blvd in the KC Live Garage.

From the West (Including Legends Outlets, Kansas Speedway):

Take I-70E into Downtown. Take Broadway Sreet Exit. Take right onto Broadway and continue to 12th Street. Take left onto 12th Street. The Power & Light District is located between Baltimore and Grand Blvd. and 12th Street and Truman Road. Convenient garage parking is located off of 12th Street and Main Street, as well as 12th Street and Walnut Street.
