PARTICIPATING VENUES

PBR Big Sky, Mosaic, Shark Bar, No Other Pub, McFadden's, County Road, Besos y Abrazos, Guy's Dive, Pizza Bar, Shandy Bar, The Pendergast Bar, Johnny's Tavern, & Howl at the Moon.

ENTRY:

• Costume Contest participants must have a ticket to the event. Any prop deemed unsafe by security will be held at the entrance using a check-in/check-out system and returned before the contest or upon exiting the event.

PRIZES

• $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to the Top 10 finalists. Prizes such as $3,000 cash, $500 tab + reserved table for KC football game watch party, VIP bottle service & more!

REGISTRATION:

• Guests (individuals or groups) interested in participating should stop by the registration table marked stage left to have their photo taken via iPad beginning at 8PM.

SELECTION PROCESS:

• Costume Contest entries will end at 10:30PM. At this time, the KC Live! Team and Planet Comicon will review all photos and narrow them down to the Top 10 finalists based on creativity, effort and overall presentation. 

FINALIST NOTIFICATION:

• The Top 10 finalists will receive a text message notifying them to return stage left to line up and sign waivers before taking the stage. 

STAGE COMPETITION:

• At 11PM, the Top 10 finalists will take the stage for the final round of judging, where the crowd will vote LIVE via Crowdpurr to determine the winner. Planet Comicon will also judge and award the Craftsmanship Award.

COSTUME PROPS POLICY:

• For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, any costume prop deemed unsafe by Security at entry will be held at our Prop Check upon entry. Guests participating in the Costume Contest may retrieve their prop during their appearance on stage. All other props must be claimed by the end of the night. Unclaimed items will be discarded after the event.
