Palm Tree Club announces grand opening in September at Power & Light

Kansas City’s latest coastal dining venue, the Palm Tree Club, will soon be opening its doors at Power & Light on Friday, Sept. 12.

The new venue, which was co-founded by world-renowned DJ Kygo and his manager Myles Shear, will feature a two-level dining and cocktail bar, welcoming guests for lunch, brunch, dinner, happy hour and other large events at its full-scale restaurant, as well as its open-air rooftop lounge.

“With everything we do at Palm Tree Crew, our goal is to gather people together for unique and entertaining experiences,” said Shear.

“We are so excited to bring our Palm Tree Club restaurant and lounge to Kansas City to do exactly that and are lucky to be collaborating again with Live! Hospitality & Entertainment to do so. We can’t wait for the community to enjoy this one-of-a-kind hospitality experience.”

Visitors can expect a range of menu items, including Amachi Carpaccio, A5 Wagyu Dumplings, Burnt End Bao Buns, and Octopus Yakitori, as well as familiar favorites like fresh seafood, handmade pastas, and delicious desserts from nationally recognized Chef and Kansas City-native Joe Shirley.

Additionally, the Palm Tree Club will offer a unique array of handcrafted signature cocktails. From espresso martini flights to gold-dusted margaritas to caviar martinis and so much more, the restaurant has new and familiar flavors to sip on and enjoy during your visit.

The grand opening marks the Palm Tree Club’s next chapter of growth and development. Just last year, the restaurant opened its first two locations in Orlando and Miami, Florida, and now, it is bringing the coastal vibes all the way to the Midwest.

According to a spokesperson at Power & Light, some of its venues across the country have become go-to destinations for high-profile guests, like Patrick Schwarzenegger, Kendall Jenner, Jessica Alba, and Alix Earle, due to its unique atmosphere, design, and blend of laid-back luxury.

On the day of its opening, the Palm Tree Club will begin its dinner service operations at 4 p.m. The following day, it will begin its normal hours, opening to the public at 11 a.m. Full hours of operation can be found on palmtreeclubkc.com.
