One Person. One Company. One Can Make a Difference.
Harvester’s feeds 141,500 people every month with the help of donations and volunteers. Our Kansas City Power & Light District team members wanted to help! We volunteered at Harvester’s in Kansas City on May 24, 2017, sorting and packing canned beans, soup, vegetables, tuna, meals, cake mixes and more.
Infusing a little competition never hurt anybody.
Because we all have a little competitive streak, we divided into two groups to see which team could package the most! Altogether, we sorted and packaged more than 3,000 non-perishable food items and 3,750 lbs of perishable items, like potatoes.
