Assembled 4,245 kits to the people of Ukraine

The Kansas City community got the chance to be involved with Heart to Heart’s impact by assembling hygiene kits for the people of Ukraine and were challenged to a goal of 5,000 kits. They also challenged local businesses in a friendly competition (corporate challenge) to see how many kits could be assembled in 30 minutes. Companies were scored on criteria in order to win: the number of kits put together, the quality of the kits, and their overall enthusiasm while assembling the kits. The kits included towels, soaps, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.

Together, the Kansas City community came down to KC Live! and assembled 4,245 kits. It was a great effort by our community, with over 150 Kansas City citizens that came to help on May 26th and many kids showing up as well! One man even came all the way from Lawrence, KS to get involved and help the people of Ukraine. A handful of local businesses in and around the KC Live! Block came to help and participate in the corporate challenge.
